Applications from building owners and groups for the Building Transformation Program (BTP) will commence on April 1, for Quarter 2.

ABOUT THE BUILDING TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM

The Building Transformation Program (BTP) augments the capacity of building owners to identify, optimize, and implement deep retrofits to save energy, reduce operating costs, and meet sustainability goals.

By participating in the program, building owners can access comprehensive support to modernize their facilities, navigate the deep retrofit process, create a clear deep retrofit path, and identify and apply for financing options.

The BTP is ideal for buildings built before 2000, particularly those that have not had significant efficiency upgrades or retrofits in recent years, or use fuel oil, natural gas, or inefficient electric sources for heating and cooling.

Targeted Building Types

■ 4+ storey Multi-Unit Residential Buildings (MURBs)

apartments, condos, townhouses, and affordable housing

■ Commercial Buildings

office buildings, community centres, schools, and long-term care facilities

■ Institutional Buildings

large public buildings such as universities, schools, and museums

YOUR COMMITMENT

Building owners will:

Share historical energy usage data and provide access to your building 

Participate in regular check-in meetings with ReCover and consultant teams

Implement deep retrofits using the resources ReCover identifies for you
